Associates play a key part in the logistical flow of the warehouse, ensuring that merchandise is available, properly displayed, and ready for purchase.
Day in the Life
As a Merchandise and Stocking Associate, you will be responsible for the physical movement and organization of inventory. Your day typically involves unloading delivery trucks and moving pallets using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. You will stock shelves and bulk displays, ensuring products are properly labeled and displayed according to safety and organizational standards.
A significant part of the role involves inventory management. This includes rotating stock to ensure freshness and quality, organizing backroom inventory, and setting up promotional displays, and maintaining overall store cleanliness and organization. You may also assist members with locating merchandise, helping them find products and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Shift Variations
The role offers both day and overnight shifts. Overnight shifts typically focus on stocking and preparing the store for opening hours. Depending on your location and shift, you may be eligible for overnight shift differential pay or bonuses. Full-time and part-time employees may also have opportunities for overtime pay and holiday pay.
