About the Role
Sam’s Club is seeking Merchandise and Stocking Associates to support daily warehouse club operations. This role is essential for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment for our members. Associates play a key part in the logistics of the warehouse, ensuring that merchandise is available, properly displayed, and ready for purchase.
Day in the Life
As a Merchandise and Stocking Associate, your day involves a mix of physical activity and organizational tasks. You will be responsible for unloading deliveries and moving merchandise onto the sales floor. This includes using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts to move pallets and stock shelves and bulk displays. A significant portion of the role involves rotating inventory, organizing backroom inventory, and ensuring all products are properly labeled and displayed.
In addition to stocking duties, you may assist members with locating merchandise, contributing to a positive customer experience. Maintaining store cleanliness and organization is also a core responsibility, as is adhering to safety standards. Overnight shifts typically focus on stocking and preparing the store for opening, ensuring the club is ready for the next day's business.
