Merchandise and Stocking Associate

About the Role

Sam’s Club is seeking Merchandise and Stocking Associates to support its daily warehouse club operations by hiring Merchandise and Stocking Associates. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and organization of the warehouse environment, ensuring that members have access to well-stocked, properly labeled, and safely displayed merchandise. Associates play a key part in the logistical flow of the club, from receiving deliveries to preparing the sales floor for customers.

Day in the Life

As a Merchandise and Stocking Associate, your day involves a mix of physical activity and organizational tasks. You will be responsible for unloading delivery trucks and moving merchandise onto the sales floor using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. A significant portion of the role involves stocking shelves and bulk displays, rotating inventory to ensure products are readily available for members. You will also organize backroom inventory, label merchandise accurately, and set up promotional displays to drive sales.

Beyond stocking, this role offers opportunities to interact with members. You may assist members in locating merchandise, providing a helpful and welcoming experience. Maintaining store cleanliness and organization is also a core responsibility, ensuring that the warehouse remains a safe and efficient environment for both employees and shoppers. Overnight shifts typically focus on stocking and preparing the store for the primary focus is on restocking and preparing the store for the next day's opening.
