About the Role
Sam’s Club is seeking Merchandise and Stocking Associates to support its daily warehouse club operations by hiring Merchandise and Stocking Associates. This role is essential for maintaining an organized, safe, and well-stocked environment for members. Associates play a key part in the logistical flow of the warehouse, ensuring that products are available, properly displayed, and ready for purchase.
Day in the Life
As a Merchandise and Stocking Associate, you will be the backbone of the store's inventory management. Your day typically involves unloading delivery trucks and moving pallets using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. You will be responsible for stocking shelves and bulk displays, rotating inventory to the sales floor, ensuring that all products are properly labeled and displayed according to company standards.
A significant portion of the role involves maintaining the backroom and sales floor organization. This includes organizing backroom inventory, setting up promotional displays, and ensuring that the store meets cleanliness and safety standards. Overnight shifts focus is on stocking and preparing the store for opening, ensuring the store is ready for members when it opens.
Member Support and Culture
Beyond the physical tasks, this role offers opportunities to interact with members. Associates may assist members with locating merchandise, contributing to a positive and helpful shopping experience.
