This role is situated within Lippitt 2, an Adult Inpatient Intensive Treatment Unit dedicated to providing a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
As a patient advocate, you will serve as a vital link in the care continuum by modeling standards of performance and ensuring patients' needs for service are met. You will assist registered nurses in the direct care of patients, with a specific focus on supporting activities of daily living. Your presence on the unit will help maintain a therapeutic atmosphere through active observation, monitoring, and facilitating group interactions.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients is required. A Bachelor's degree in a social science is preferred, though comparable behavioral health experience may be substituted.
