The Smilow Ambulatory Multispecialty Department (YSC) is rooted in oncology nursing excellence and serves as a hub for patients undergoing cancer treatment and management for solid tumor cancers. This specialized department caters to both medical oncology patients, who receive systemic therapies like chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies, and surgical oncology patients, who are in various stages of their surgical journey, including pre-operative evaluation, post-operative care, and follow-up.
The core philosophy of our department is to provide multidisciplinary and comprehensive cancer care to patients and their support system. We aim to provide a holistic approach to cancer care, ensuring that patients receive not only the most advanced medical and surgical treatments but also the crucial support services needed to navigate their cancer journey effectively.
