As a Medical Pod Leader, you will serve as the clinical leader responsible for the performance of your pod team. This role exists to ensure accurate diagnosis, high-quality documentation, patient safety, and superior patient experiences within a collaborative environment. You will function as the collaborating physician for advanced practice providers (APPs) and maintain a dyad partnership with the Market Manager and market office staff.
In this position, you will build a strong team-based culture, lead high-risk huddles, and conduct chart audits to drive quality metrics. You will act as a resource for clinical team members, participating in difficult conversations with patients and families, and assisting with compliance and HR resolutions. The role involves a significant amount of direct patient care, including complex visits and cognitive assessments, alongside the development of APP clinical skills and evidence-based care practices.
