This position serves as a vital support partner to physicians and nursing staff, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient office operations. The role blends clinical duties with administrative responsibilities, acting as a bridge between patient needs and the medical team's workflow.
In a typical day, you will assist with patient flow, perform clinical tasks such as taking vitals and administering injections, and maintain the cleanliness and readiness of nurses' stations, exam rooms, and procedure areas. Simultaneously, you will manage front desk operations, including patient registration, insurance verification, charge entry, and scheduling. Success in this role requires a dual focus: providing compassionate, high-quality patient care while maintaining accurate administrative records and adhering to strict compliance standards.
Candidates must be fully certified in patient registration and possess current CPR certification. The selection process will evaluate your ability to perform medical assisting responsibilities under state and faculty guidelines, as well as your proficiency with electronic health systems like EPIC or GE.
