Animal Care of Ponte Vedra has been a highly regarded practice in Ponte Vedra Beach since 1994, earning a 4.8-star community Google rating and recognition from Jacksonville Magazine for excellence. We are part of Mission Pet Health, a network founded by veterinarians who believe local practices thrive with clinical autonomy, collaboration, and medical excellence. Our organization supports 850+ hospital teams with world-class resources, allowing us to focus on what matters most: the medicine, our patients, and our team culture. We are driven by our WAG values—Work Together, Amaze, and Grow—and are committed to being the best place to work in veterinary medicine.
As the Medical Lead Veterinarian, you will be the champion of medical excellence at our hospital. This is a key leadership role where you set the standard for clinical quality while continuing to practice as an associate veterinarian. You will partner with the Practice Manager to build a healthy, engaged team, drive continuous improvement in patient care and client service, and foster a culture of collaboration and growth.
You will work in a sophisticated professional environment featuring robust diagnostic capabilities, including ultrasound, echocardiogram, and advanced imaging. The role involves managing varied and complex cases across core services such as detailed surgical procedures, specialized orthopedic care, and urgent support. Beyond clinical duties, you will mentor associate veterinarians, lead monthly doctor meetings to discuss best practices, supervise externship programs, and serve as an ambassador for the hospital through community engagement.
Ponte Vedra Beach offers an exceptional quality of life defined by coastal charm and a dedicated pet-owning community. Located in a sought-after area of Northeast Florida, this setting provides a unique balance of a high-level medical practice and a relaxed lifestyle near the beach, making it an ideal place to establish long-term roots and grow both professionally and personally.
We are looking for a leader who embodies a servant leadership mentality and a commitment to our core values. If you are ready to contribute to a highly professional and respected medical environment, we invite you to apply. Our leadership team is dedicated to providing the mentorship and support necessary for every teammate to meet their professional goals, whether you are aiming to achieve credentialing or move into a leadership role.
