About the Role

This position is designed for a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and related duties. You will utilize scientific principles alongside technical and problem-solving aptitudes to manage day-to-day laboratory operations. Your work ensures the integrity of clinical data through rigorous quality control, quality assurance, and instrument maintenance.

In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operations of laboratory instrumentation, including supply inventory, calibration, and reagent preparation. You will accurately perform basic to complex testing following established protocols and manufacturer guidelines. A key part of your day involves critiquing and correlating test results, using critical thinking to assess the validity of unusual data and taking appropriate corrective action. You will also communicate technical information to healthcare providers and departments in an accurate and timely fashion, while potentially providing instructions on proper specimen collection and handling.
