We've made a lot of progress since opening our doors in 1942, but one thing has never changed: our commitment to serve, heal, lead, educate, and innovate. We believe that every award earned, every record broken, and every patient helped is the result of the dedicated employees who fill our hallways. At Ochsner, whether you work directly with patients every day or support those who do, you are making a difference, and that matters. Come make a difference at Ochsner Health and discover your future today.
This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment where precision and compassion intersect. You will be the backbone of our diagnostic capabilities, receiving and preparing specimens according to strict standard protocols. Your work involves performing complex laboratory tests and calculations that provide the critical data necessary for the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
In this role, you are not just processing samples; you are ensuring the integrity of patient care. You will perform quality control procedures, evaluate test performance, and calibrate and maintain the sophisticated equipment used in analytical determinations. As appropriate, you will also perform phlebotomy procedures. Your day-to-day involves interpreting routine and specialized laboratory testing independently, troubleshooting instruments, and adhering to rigorous regulatory compliance guidelines. You will adapt your communication style to respect patient privacy and needs, ensuring that every interaction reflects the high standards of Ochsner Health.
