As a Medical Laboratory Scientist I within the Clinical Laboratory - Pain Management department, you will be the backbone of our testing operations in Clifton, NJ. You will work Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, ensuring that critical patient specimens are handled, processed, and analyzed with the highest level of precision. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAnalyze specimens using approved testing procedures
- check_circleReview and release patient test results
- check_circleFollow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, and test analyses
- check_circleMaintain records demonstrating proficiency testing sample testing
- check_circleAdhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines
- check_circleIdentify and resolve problems affecting test performance or reporting
- check_circleNotify senior technologists or supervisors of critical issues immediately
Requirements
- verifiedBS in Medical Technology preferred
- verifiedBS/BA in Chemistry or Biology
- verifiedAssociates degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- verifiedPreviously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493
- verified1 year Clinical experience (high complexity testing) preferred
Nice to Have
BS in Medical Technology; 1 year of clinical experience in high complexity testing.
