As a Laboratory team member at AdventHealth Porter in Denver, you play a vital role in our patient care ecosystem. This part-time, day-shift position focuses on the accurate and efficient handling of patient specimens. You will be responsible for performing venous, capillary, urine drug screen, swab, and other specimen collections, ensuring appropriate identification and type for every sample. Your work ensures that samples are correctly processed through centrifugation, aliquoting, and distribution to the appropriate testing areas, including loading them onto various analyzers.
In this role, you will generate and report waived and moderate complexity test results under supervision while operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting testing-related processes, equipment, and instrumentation. You will also monitor test system performance and take corrective action as necessary to maintain the highest standards of laboratory accuracy and safety.
