At AdaptHealth, we offer full-service home medical equipment and related services that empower patients to live their best lives beyond the hospital and at home. With supporting locations across the nation, we serve as the vital link in the healthcare ecosystem, bridging the gap between patients, providers, and high-quality, compassionate care.
We are committed to our people through support, development, and advancement opportunities, while maintaining industry-leading care and innovation. Our mission is to provide meaningful work where your skills directly improve lives.
As a Medical Equipment Technician, you will play a critical role in helping patients safely transition care into their homes, long-term care settings, clinics, or other necessary locations. You will be the face of AdaptHealth during daily patient visits, delivering, setting up, and supporting respiratory and home medical equipment. Beyond technical setup, you will educate patients and caregivers on the safe use, care, and troubleshooting of equipment, ensuring their comfort, safety, and independence.
This is a field-based role primarily focused on daily patient home visits within your assigned area, with occasional on-call coverage. You will be responsible for maintaining home oxygen systems, performing routine preventative maintenance, and responding to equipment issues, including under emergency conditions. Your work ensures that patients receive the continuous support they need to thrive outside of a clinical setting.
To join our team, candidates must be prepared for a comprehensive screening process. All roles require a company-conducted background check, and driving roles require a Motor Vehicle Record check. Clinical roles may require valid licensure or certification where applicable. Candidates applying for positions in Florida will undergo background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
