UCSF Medical Center has been named one of the nation's top hospitals for adult and Maternal patient care and safety by U.S. News & World Report in its Best Hospitals ranking for 2024-2025, a distinction it has held for many years. The center also tied for the best hospital in California overall for adult care. This environment is ideal for candidates who aspire to influence program development, quality improvement, and hold administrative roles that shape the future of Obstetrics at UCSF.
Living and working in the Parnassus Heights and Mission Bay neighborhoods places you at the heart of one of the most vibrant medical communities in the country. Parnassus offers a quiet, residential feel tucked into the hills near Golden Gate Park, while Mission Bay is sleek and modern, where medicine meets biotech.
Life here extends beyond the hospital. You are surrounded by culture, with museums, music, and global cuisine just moments away. After a long shift, you can attend the symphony, walk through eucalyptus forests, kayak along the bay, or grab dim sum with colleagues. With easy access to Muni, Caltrain, and BART, the city is fully connected. Most importantly, you become part of a close-knit network of people who care deeply about their work, their patients, and each other.
