MaineHealth Gastroenterology is seeking a Medical Director to join our team in beautiful Rockport, Maine. This role is designed to partner with practice administrators to lead both the administrative and clinical operations of the Gastroenterology practice. The mission is to ensure high-quality care, patient safety, and satisfaction for patients, providers, and employees while optimizing the efficient use of resources. The Medical Director will align individual efforts with the broader mission, vision, values, and strategic goals of MaineHealth, addressing the needs of clinicians and care team members across primary and secondary practice locations.
This position offers a unique blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities. Clinically, you will provide outpatient clinic services, perform endoscopy procedures, and offer inpatient consultative services. Administratively, you will oversee clinical operations, manage physician and advanced practice professional teams, and drive quality and safety initiatives. You will work collaboratively with administrative leadership to handle budget planning, patient visit scheduling, and clinical protocols, while also fostering a culture of innovation to solve problems more effectively and cost-efficiently. As a leader, you will advocate for the needs of your team while holding the organization accountable to its commitments, ensuring a balanced and supportive environment for all.
