About the Role

As the Anesthesiology Medical Director for Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, SC, you will serve as a vital leader within our physician partnership. This role exists to ensure the practice thrives by aligning clinical operations with Vituity's mission, vision, and values. You will champion our culture of brilliance while managing the strategic direction of the local site.

In this position, you will spearhead the administrative management team, fostering open communication and transparent decision-making. Your day will involve monitoring operational and quality metrics, executing comprehensive practice management plans, and driving financial performance. You will act as the primary liaison between the practice and hospital leadership, ensuring compliance with all contract terms and medical staff bylaws. Beyond administration, you will be deeply involved in the professional growth of your colleagues, providing mentoring, evaluating performance, and facilitating recruitment and onboarding to ensure the practice is staffed with highly qualified professionals.

The Practice & Community

You will be based at Coastal Carolina Hospital, a non-interventional stroke center in Hardeeville, South Carolina. The facility features a 12-bed Emergency Department plus additional hallway and fast-track beds, handling an annual volume of 24,000–25,000 visits with a patient mix that includes a significant number of underserved, family-centered cases. Sub-specialty backup includes Hospital Medicine, Anesthesiology, and 24/7 OBGYN.
