Advanced Recovery Systems (ARS) is an integrated behavioral healthcare management company committed to transforming lives through comprehensive treatment. With our advanced approach to patient care, we are unwavering in our mission to support individuals on their path to recovery. We operate facilities across various regions of the U.S., and we are seeking exceptional patient care providers to join our team.
Located at the Recovery Village Atlanta at Stockbridge, the Physician Services Coordinator serves as a vital bridge between physicians, medical staff, and facility leadership. This role exists to ensure the seamless operation of medical services by managing day-to-day scheduling for inpatient and outpatient visits, supporting the adoption of database technology and electronic medical records, and maintaining rigorous compliance auditing standards.
In this position, you will work effectively with the facility leadership team to drive success. Your day will involve reviewing medical provider triage emails, managing lab data from Quest, and generating critical reports using Power BI to track facility medical metrics such as History and Physical timeliness, discharge summaries, and suicide assessments. You will coordinate transportation for patients, assist with Leave of Absence and Short-Term Disability paperwork, and help manage the scheduling of medical staff, including on-call and weekend coverage.
The role also requires a hands-on approach to data integrity and operational support. You will audit medical charts to ensure accuracy, assist in obtaining prior authorizations for medications like Vivitrol and Sublocade, and support the orientation of new medical staff. In times of emergency, you will be cross-trained as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide 1:1 patient support, and you may assist nursing with tasks such as blood draws and EKGs. By managing the Physician Services Coordinator's workload, you help ensure that the facility meets all productivity metrics and regulatory requirements.
Candidates are encouraged to review our mission and commitment at www.advancedrecoverysystems.com before applying. The hiring process involves a review of qualifications, including a preference for those with Medical Assistant experience or prior employment within an ARS treatment center.
