Key Responsibilities
- check_circleTriaging patients, measuring vitals, and recording information on patient charts
- check_circleAdministering medications and immunizations under provider direction
- check_circleSetting up procedures as instructed by the provider
- check_circlePreparing treatment rooms for examinations and escorting patients to exam rooms
- check_circlePerforming blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and completing lab work
- check_circleChecking patients in and out, verifying insurance, and collecting payments
Requirements
- verifiedGraduation from Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, Radiologic Technologist, or relevant program
- verifiedActive Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designation
- verifiedHigh School or GED AND 6 months of MA experience
- verifiedLicensed CNA with phlebotomy experience
- verifiedPhlebotomy certification AND 6 months of verifiable phlebotomy experience
- verified1 year of verifiable experience where phlebotomy is primary function
- verifiedBLS certification
- verifiedAbility to pass Level II background screening and AHCA clearance
Nice to Have
Prior recent experience in a healthcare setting, such as an emergency department, urgent care, or other ambulatory clinic.
