About the Role
The Care Promoter 1 is an integral member of a Physician-lead Care Team focused on providing excellent and comprehensive primary care for a specific population of patients. This role is designed for an unlicensed medical professional who is cross-trained to perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep our medical centers running smoothly.
While duties vary by setting depending on size, location, and type, the Care Promoter 1 works under direct physician supervision in accordance with state medical practice acts. You will be the heartbeat of the center, ensuring patient flow and supporting the team in delivering compassionate care. Whether you are measuring vital signs, assisting with examinations, or providing health coaching to support healthy lifestyle choices, your work directly impacts the lives of our patients.

- check_circlePerform routine screening tests and collect phlebotomy and lab specimens
- check_circleProcess patient phone messages and call patients to relay pertinent information
- check_circleProvide health coaching to patients and follow up via weekly calls
- check_circleAdminister medications, change dressings, and apply bandages under supervision
- check_circleCall in prescriptions to pharmacies upon physician authorization
- check_circleMaintain supplies, sterilize instruments, and practice OSHA safety standards
- check_circleMeasure and record patient vital signs, interviews, and medical history
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- verifiedGraduation from nationally accredited Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT, or Paramedic program
- verifiedMinimum 1 year work experience as Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT, or Paramedic
- verifiedBLS for Healthcare Providers certification
- verifiedSpoken and written fluency in English
- verifiedProficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- verifiedExperience with EMR systems preferred

Experience working with geriatric patients. EMR system experience.
