At Leidos, we deliver innovative solutions through the efforts of our diverse and talented people who are dedicated to our customers' success. We empower our teams, contribute to our communities, and operate sustainably, building everything on a commitment to do the right thing for our customers, our people, and our community.
The Leidos National Security Sector (NSS) combines technology-enabled services and mission software capabilities in the areas of cyber, logistics, security operations, and decision analytics. We support defense and intelligence customers in their mission to defend against evolving threats around the world. This specific opportunity supports United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) operations, providing vital on-site support to USCYBERCOM J3 (Operations), the Cyber National Mission Force (CNMF), and Joint Task Force-Ares (JTF-ARES). This role underpins USCYBERCOM's support to United States National Security objectives.
This is a unique opportunity to join a team where your greatest work is ahead. We are seeking a Journeyman-level Media Malware Analyst to identify and analyze sophisticated malware threats targeting the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) and associated networks. You will operate in a fast-paced environment where you are expected to be restless and proactive—someone who is already scheming step 20 while others are still debating step 1.
In this role, you will provide timely, accurate, and relevant support to help USCYBERCOM identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities in the Cyberspace domain. Your day will involve conducting forensic analysis of compromised systems, performing static and dynamic malware analysis, and reverse engineering malicious files. You will translate complex technical findings into actionable intelligence, drafting reports and delivering briefings to leadership. Beyond technical analysis, you will collaborate with operational, technical, and intelligence elements across USCYBERCOM to enhance situational awareness, execute crisis action plans, and support the development of enterprise malware analysis tools.
At Leidos, we don't want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the over-caffeinated, the ones who ask, "what's next?" before the dust settles on "what's now." If you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can apply your expertise to defend national security, you will fit right in.
This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award. For U.S. positions, the job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date.
Security and Fraud Warning: Beware of fake employment opportunities using Leidos' name.
