Quality Inspectors at nLIGHT DEFENSE Systems play a critical role in ensuring that every mechanical component supporting our high-energy laser systems meets the rigorous standards required for mission-critical defense applications. This is a hands-on, onsite position in Longmont, Colorado, where you will work with advanced carbon fiber structures, precision-machined parts, and sheet metal assemblies that must perform reliably in challenging operational environments.
In this role, you will be the guardian of quality from the moment parts arrive at the facility. You will interpret complex engineering requirements, validate supplier quality, and uphold the traceability and compliance standards essential for HEL system integration. The ideal candidate is a detail-driven professional who takes pride in their workmanship and is excited to contribute to the next generation of defense technology.
All applicants must possess or be qualified to obtain a U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance. Preference will be given to candidates with an existing clearance. Additionally, candidates must be a U.S. Person in accordance with ITAR regulations.
