The Raytheon Hardware Engineering Organization leads the hardware design, development, and production support of a wide breadth of air, land, sea, and space systems. Within this organization, the Undersea & Electronics Systems (UES) Department leads the mechanical design, development, and integration of products, including undersea sensors, naval platforms, shipboard/ground-based processing, and launchers.

About the Role

The UES department is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our team on-site in Portsmouth, RI. This role is integral to the mission of creating trusted, innovative solutions that make the world a safer place. As a member of a design team, you will help solve challenging technical issues and drive results through efficiently completing assigned design and support tasks. You will collaborate across multiple disciplines, including structural/thermal analyses and electrical engineering, to solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Hiring Process and Application

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid, or remote. RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted, though business necessity may require adjustments to this timeline.

Location Note: This is an onsite role. Employees working in onsite roles will work primarily onsite.
