The Raytheon Hardware Engineering Organization leads the hardware design, development, and production support of a wide breadth of air, land, sea, and space systems. Within this organization, the Undersea & Electronics Systems (UES) Department leads the mechanical design, development, and integration of products, including undersea sensors, naval platforms, shipboard/ground-based processing, and launchers.
The UES department is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our team on-site in Portsmouth, RI. This role is integral to the mission of creating trusted, innovative solutions that make the world a safer place. As a member of a design team, you will help solve challenging technical issues and drive results through efficiently completing assigned design and support tasks. You will collaborate across multiple disciplines, including structural/thermal analyses and electrical engineering, to solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in the specification, design, development, production and testing of electronics systems, specifically packaging electronic equipment to meet physical and environmental constraints. Experience with Military and Commercial Specifications. Experience with PTC CREO and PDM. Experience managing financial and schedule performance of program level tasking. Demonstrated ability to solve difficult problems while working as part of a cross functional team. Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate to technical, non-technical and management audiences.
