About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead innovation in the design and optimization of piping and mechanical systems within process-control environments handling liquids or gases. This role is critical for ensuring projects meet operational, regulatory, and safety targets from conception through final realization. You will work with minimal supervision to drive the engineering lifecycle, bridging the gap between complex fluid dynamics and practical facility implementation.
In this position, you will serve as a technical leader, guiding the design, construction, and maintenance of facility piping systems. Your work will involve rigorous component sizing, equipment selection, and the validation of piping integrity under various loads. Beyond technical execution, you will mentor junior engineers, direct technical support staff, and collaborate with stakeholders to present findings and status briefings. The role demands a proactive approach to continuous improvement, integrating emerging technologies and best practices into highly regulated environments.

Candidates for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. This requirement includes a pre-employment background check conducted by the Company and a federal background investigation. Additionally, candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and agree to participate in a random drug testing program, in compliance with 10 CFR 707.4.
