Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and optimization of piping and mechanical systems within process-control environments handling liquids or gases. This role is critical for driving innovation in system design with minimal supervision, ensuring all projects meet rigorous operational, regulatory, and safety targets from conception through final realization.

In this position, you will partner with stakeholders to plan and coordinate major engineering phases, from developing cost estimates to generating procurement documentation. You will also play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement by integrating emerging technologies and best practices into our workflows.

Hiring Process & Requirements

Candidates for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. This requirement includes a pre-employment background check conducted by the Company and a federal government background investigation. Additionally, all candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and agree to participate in a random drug testing program upon employment, in compliance with 10 CFR 707.4.
