This role supports the Common Aviation Support Equipment Program Office (PMA-260) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. PMA-260 is responsible for the procurement, development, and fielding of Common Ground Support equipment and Automatic Test Equipment. The team focuses on capability definition, interfaces, integration considerations, and verification readiness through model-based engineering.
About the Role
As a Journeyman MBSE Systems Engineer, you will apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate military weapons systems and associated support systems. You will work within a fast-moving, review-driven environment with multiple stakeholders, utilizing your expertise to build and assess systems engineering and architecture models.
Your work will enable the digital thread across the engineering lifecycle, ensuring that system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities are seamlessly integrated. You will conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations that inform key technical decisions, optimizing performance, schedule, timing, and costs. This position requires on-site presence at the Lexington Park location as required.
Hiring Process
Candidates must possess an Active Secret security clearance or higher and be able to pass a background investigation. Selected candidates must be US Citizens. The interview process will assess your technical qualifications, experience with MBSE tools and methodologies, and fit within our collaborative environment.
