About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Math Teacher to join our award-winning Alternative Education team for the 2026-2027 School Year. In this pivotal role, you will shape high school student success by implementing proven instructional strategies aligned with ChanceLight Education methodologies. You will deliver targeted instruction and create comprehensive lesson plans tailored to the diverse physical, emotional, and educational needs of each student.

This position is designed for those energized by a purposeful career who thrive in a collaborative, goal-driven environment. You will work closely with special education teachers and support staff to differentiate instruction, ensuring all students receive the necessary accommodations. Your day-to-day involves fostering a structured, safe learning environment, communicating proactively with parents and guardians, and utilizing robust data collection to inform interventions. Requirements

Nice to Have

Prior experience working with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction, preferably in an alternative, special education and/or behavioral health program setting; prior experience and/or knowledge in alternative educational services and/or working with at-risk students with diverse needs at various levels; prior experience and/or knowledge in working with students with individualized education plans (IEP's).
