About the Team
The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is an expanding team of more than 50 physicians and researchers dedicated to Women's Health in the Lowcountry. MUSC Health has earned a U.S. News & World Report 2023-2024 national ranking as one of the top 20 hospitals for Obstetrics & Gynecology.
In 2020, the division expanded its capabilities with the opening of the Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital and Pearl Tourville Women's Pavilion. This 100,000-square-foot, 250-bed facility transforms the delivery of fetal, women's, and children's care in the region. Supporting this clinical excellence is the Charles P. Darby Children's Research Institute, the largest pediatric research facility in the Carolinas and one of only 15 like it in the country.
