The University of Pittsburgh Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences, in partnership with UPMC, invites an outstanding academic physician and early-stage clinician-investigator to join a dynamic team of 27 faculty members within the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound. This division supports a robust fellowship program, accepting three fellows annually, and offers a collaborative environment where clinical and scholarly activities are balanced to foster individual academic career development.
The role is situated within the UPMC Magee-Womens Research Institute, the world's largest independent research institute dedicated solely to women's health. Faculty members have the opportunity to engage in research spanning reproductive biology and development, with specific involvement available in the busy Center for Advanced Fetal Diagnosis. The position offers access to the University of Pittsburgh Clinical and Translational Science Institute and a strong commitment to faculty development.
This position, open at the rank of Assistant Professor, is designed for a clinician-investigator eager to balance a broad clinical scope with research. The clinical responsibilities include coverage of the antepartum service, labor and delivery, obstetrical ultrasound, telemedicine services, prenatal diagnosis procedures, and perinatal consultation. The scope of clinical and research activities will be tailored to the candidate's background, skills, and interests, with a multitude of opportunities for collaborative clinical research.
