The University of Pittsburgh Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences, in partnership with UPMC, invites an outstanding academic physician and early-stage clinician-investigator to join a dynamic Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound. The division currently comprises 27 faculty members, supported by 5 Advanced Practice Providers, 6 Certified Diabetes Educators, and 8 Perinatal Nurses. The team actively supports a fellowship program approved to accept three fellows annually, fostering a robust environment for academic growth and clinical excellence.
Faculty members are encouraged to balance clinical and scholarly activities, with access to the University of Pittsburgh Clinical and Translational Science Institute and dedicated faculty development programs. The role offers a broad clinical scope, including antepartum service coverage, labor and delivery, obstetrical ultrasound, telemedicine, prenatal diagnosis procedures, and perinatal consultation. Candidates are invited to shape their individual academic career development through collaborative clinical research opportunities tailored to their background and interests.
This position is based at Magee-Womens Hospital, home to the Magee-Womens Research Institute, the largest independent research institute in the world focused solely on women's health. Research scientists here engage in diverse studies spanning reproductive biology, development, and various aspects of women's health. The division features a busy Center for Advanced Fetal Diagnosis, offering candidates the opportunity to participate in both its research and clinical activities.
