The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh, in partnership with UPMC, invites an outstanding academic physician and early-stage clinician-investigator to join a dynamic team of 27 faculty members within the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound. This division supports a robust fellowship program, training three fellows annually, and is bolstered by 5 Advanced Practice Providers, 6 Certified Diabetes Educators, and 8 Perinatal Nurses.
The role offers a unique balance of clinical and scholarly activities, with opportunities to leverage the University of Pittsburgh Clinical and Translational Science Institute and UPMC's commitment to faculty development. Candidates will engage in a broad clinical scope, including antepartum service coverage, labor and delivery, obstetrical ultrasound, telemedicine, prenatal diagnosis procedures, and perinatal consultation. The position is designed to foster individual academic career development and collaborative clinical research tailored to the candidate's background and interests.
The division is closely affiliated with the Magee-Womens Research Institute, the largest independent research institute in the world focused solely on women's health. Research scientists there explore reproductive biology, development, and diverse aspects of women's health. Candidates will have the opportunity to participate in the research and clinical activities of the busy Center for Advanced Fetal Diagnosis.
