The University of Pittsburgh Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences, in partnership with UPMC, invites applications for an academic physician and early-stage clinician-investigator to join the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound. The division currently comprises 27 faculty members, supported by a robust team of 5 Advanced Practice Providers, 6 Certified Diabetes Educators, and 8 Perinatal Nurses. The division actively supports a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship program, accepting three fellows annually.
Faculty members are encouraged to balance clinical and scholarly activities, with the clinical scope covering antepartum services, labor and delivery, obstetrical ultrasound, telemedicine, prenatal diagnosis procedures, and perinatal consultation. The role offers significant opportunities for collaborative clinical research, tailored to the candidate's background and interests, with institutional K-award opportunities available to support individual academic career development.
The position is based within the UPMC Magee-Womens Research Institute, the largest independent research institute in the world focused solely on women's health. Research scientists there engage in work spanning reproductive biology, development, and diverse aspects of women's health. Candidates will have the opportunity to participate in the research and clinical activities of the busy Center for Advanced Fetal Diagnosis.
