About the Team

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh, in partnership with UPMC, invites an outstanding academic physician and early-stage clinician-investigator to join a dynamic team of 27 faculty members within the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound. This division supports a robust fellowship program and offers a unique environment for balancing clinical excellence with scholarly inquiry.

The role is situated within the UPMC Magee-Womens Research Institute, the largest independent research institute in the world dedicated solely to women's health. Faculty members have the opportunity to engage with research spanning reproductive biology, development, and diverse aspects of women's health, including the busy Center for Advanced Fetal Diagnosis. Candidates will benefit from the University of Pittsburgh Clinical and Translational Science Institute programs and a strong institutional commitment to faculty development.

About the Role

This position offers a broad clinical scope, encompassing antepartum service coverage, labor and delivery, obstetrical ultrasound, telemedicine services, prenatal diagnosis procedures, and perinatal consultation. The role is designed to provide a flexible balance between clinical duties and scholarly activities, with the specific mix tailored to the candidate's background, skills, and interests.\n We encourage individual academic career development and offer a multitude of opportunities for collaborative clinical research. Institutional K-award opportunities are available for eligible candidates at the rank of Assistant Professor.
