The Non‑Metallic Materials and Space Environmental Effects Team is seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented technician to support materials testing, sub‑scale motor and other test equipment assembly, polymer processing, and laboratory operations. This role is critical to executing test campaigns, maintaining lab readiness, and supporting development efforts across propulsion, materials, and environmental effects disciplines.
Work will be performed primarily in indoor labs and a general office environment, with occasional outdoor requirements. The role involves standing for extended periods in a shop/lab environment supporting testing and fabrication, necessitating appropriate PPE including safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection. The position requires the ability to interact effectively with co-workers, managers, and clients, providing clear, concise, and accurate communication both verbally and in writing.
