About the Role
As a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Technician Level III, you will oversee the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of our MHE fleet and industrial batteries. This role is designed for experienced professionals who thrive in an operations environment, ensuring the reliability of critical equipment through preventive maintenance, electrical repairs, and troubleshooting.
You will serve as a mentor to junior technicians (Tech I and II), guiding them in best practices while managing complex maintenance projects. Your day will involve a blend of hands-on technical work—such as repairing motors, controls, and hydraulic systems—and administrative duties like logging work orders in our maintenance management system. You will also participate in an on-call program and respond to emergency situations to ensure facility and employee safety.

- check_circleTrain and mentor MHE Tech I and II staff members
- check_circleConduct electrical repairs, welding projects, and PLC troubleshooting
- check_circlePerform preventive maintenance including oil changes, belt adjustments, and chain replacements
- check_circleDiagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems including motors and controls
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or GED
- verifiedSix years in an MHE maintenance position
- verifiedValid state driver's license
- verifiedSysco-approved defensive driving program
- verifiedPowered Industrial Equipment Certification from Sysco
- verifiedMHE 8-hour maintenance tech certificate from MHE manufacturer
Nice to Have
Tech school or equivalent (2 years). Trade electrical I & II training.
