About the Role
A company in Santa Teresa, NM is seeking a Material Handler (Crane Operator) to safely control mobile, tower, or overhead cranes. In this position, you will lift, move, and position materials while ensuring the stability of the crane and adhering to all load capacity limitations.
Day-to-Day
Your work involves interpreting signals from riggers and spotters to maneuver crane booms, hooks, and loads precisely. You will perform daily safety inspections on cables, hydraulic systems, brakes, and hoisting mechanisms, as well as monitor weather conditions to maintain a safe site environment. Routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs are also part of your responsibilities, alongside maintaining accurate logs of materials moved, maintenance performed, and safety check records.
