The Temporary Marketing & Community Relations Assistant serves as a bridge between two vital organizational functions: Marketing and Community Relations. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across both departments, fostering a versatile skill set in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
In the Community Relations capacity, you will play a key role in the coordination of community events and outreach activities. Your day-to-day will involve managing scheduling, communications, and volunteer coordination, alongside handling event logistics. You will also be responsible for attendance tracking, preparing materials, and executing follow-up communications to ensure events run smoothly and efficiently.
Simultaneously, you will support the Marketing department by handling administrative, clerical, and entry-level marketing tasks. This aspect of the role provides a chance to learn core marketing processes, assist with department projects, and contribute to the creation of written and visual materials. As a temporary team member, you may also be assigned special tasks that require discretion, including handling confidential information.
