About the Role
This position is responsible for the installation, testing, and repair of marine cables and equipment. The role involves the installation and connection of lighting, electrical power, electronics, and fiber equipment, utilizing hand and power tools along with various test equipment. Success in this role requires the ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics while adhering to applicable commercial and government specifications and codes.
Requirements & Process
Candidates must possess in-depth knowledge of marine cable and equipment installation, testing, and repair, with a minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience as a Marine Electrician. Applicants must be able to read marine blueprints and work from both standard and metric specifications. Additionally, candidates must have comprehensive knowledge of component and system start-up, troubleshooting, and repair.
