We are seeking an Entry Marine Electrician to join a dynamic team supporting U.S. Naval Ships in Norfolk, Virginia. You will work closely with our Navy customer and fellow Serco team members to deliver quality work in beautiful surroundings. Your role is critical to our mission of protecting and serving the Military by performing general manual labor, fabricating electromechanical assemblies, and ensuring safe work environments aboard vessels and military installations.
In this position, you will be part of an active team performing electrical work on ships, boats, and marine equipment. You will troubleshoot malfunctions, conduct tests, and repair electrical wiring to restore power to ship engines and navigation systems. Your day-to-day involves securing work areas to avoid electrical shock, maintaining engineering records, and operating test equipment. This role requires physical agility to work in high-heat spaces, climb dry dock stairs, and lift heavy loads, all while maintaining a strict focus on safety and proper PPE usage.
