About the Role

As a Marine Electrician based in Norfolk, VA, you will join a passionate, talented, and diverse team supporting cabling, equipment, and C5ISR system installations. Your work is vital to our mission, performed onboard U.S. Naval Ships and military installations. You will join, fabricate, and assemble various electromechanical and electronic assemblies, applying appropriate safety techniques to ensure successful and safe operations.

In this role, you will work on assignments that are not completely standardized, selecting or adapting standard procedures using applicable precedents. You will troubleshoot malfunctions, follow specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct devices, and conduct tests requiring subjective judgments in measurement. Your day-to-day involves compiling engineering data from field notes and manuals, assisting in design modifications, and developing information concerning previous operational failures. You will rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, often working in areas with drafts, noise, and temperature variations, including high heat spaces and shipyard dry docks.
