About the Opportunity
Rainier Recruiting is partnering with a private equity-backed marine electrical services company seeking an experienced leader to manage and coordinate multiple electrical projects from planning through completion. This role is designed for a Marine Electrician Lead who thrives in a hands-on environment, aligning field operations with organizational goals while overseeing project schedules and budgets.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background as a Marine Electrician Lead with extensive experience completing complex marine electrical projects. This technical foundation is essential for effectively managing field teams and ensuring technical excellence across all ongoing and future projects. As the Electrician Lead of Record (EoR), you will oversee projects from the initial request for quotation (RFQ) through final installation, testing, and compliance, delivering results under tight deadlines while meeting client requirements and industry standards.
A Day in the Life
You will serve as the bridge between executive strategy and field execution. Your day involves planning and coordinating multiple electrical projects simultaneously, estimating labor and materials, and assigning work to Electrician Leads and field teams. While you will monitor project progress, budgets, and performance metrics, you are also expected to provide hands-on assistance in the field to meet deadlines or resolve technical challenges. The role emphasizes a culture of learning and craftsmanship, where you will mentor and train field staff while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented environment that values professionalism, accountability, and pride in workmanship.
Example Projects
Your work will span a diverse range of marine and floating structures, including cargo ships, fishing vessels, barges, and tugboats. Projects may include:
- Vessel shore power and alternative marine power installations
- Mobile crane electrical supply systems
- Hydraulic and communication system integration
- Terminal power and gate control systems
- Custom switchboard and control panel builds (e.g., elevator controls, gangway controllers, pump controllers)
