About the Role
Labor One is seeking experienced Marine Electricians to join our team at a shipyard in San Diego, California. This role is critical for maintaining the electrical integrity of vessels, ensuring all systems operate safely and efficiently.
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of shipboard electrical services, from installing and repairing equipment to laying out and pulling complex cable and conduit systems. The position requires a hands-on approach, involving drilling, grinding, and welding to prepare work areas and mount equipment. As a Marine Electrician, you will test electrical systems and collaborate with the team to ensure all work meets Navy standards and safety regulations.
Work Environment
This is a physically demanding role performed in all areas of the shipyard and on board ships. You will work in diverse conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and varying climates. The environment may involve exposure to fumes, dust, gases, and high noise levels. Success in this role requires the ability to hear warning signals, comprehend safety instructions, and maintain a high level of safety awareness to avoid hazards common in a shipyard setting.
