Carpenter's Latrobe Specialty Metals operations, based in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, was acquired by Carpenter Technology in 2012. This facility manufactures high-performance specialty alloys serving the aerospace, energy, and other demanding markets.
About the Role
The Manufacturing Supervisor serves as a vital link between leadership and the shop floor, providing guidance, direction, and supervision to production employees. This role exists to ensure departmental operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You will be responsible for planning and scheduling operations within your assigned area, maintaining well-organized workspaces, and actively promoting company policies, with a specific focus on safety plans and results.
In this fast-paced, ever-changing environment, you will foster a positive work culture by regularly communicating with employees, addressing performance issues promptly, and responding to concerns in a timely manner. The role requires the ability to direct and supervise others, objectively evaluate performance, and train team members to develop their skills. You will work collaboratively with others to achieve department and company goals while managing the demands of a production-oriented setting, including overtime, weekend work, and shift work.
