About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting a Quality Engineer for a premier manufacturing facility located in the West Michigan area. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility alongside a dedicated team of professionals.
About the Role
The selected candidate will serve as the main quality point of contact for both internal and external issues, assuming a responsible leadership role in the successful launch of new programs. The position focuses on coordinating, administering, and performing required quality and reliability functions at minimum costs.
As the primary quality representative in the New Product Development launch process, you will drive design reviews, develop gauging plans, control plans, and PFMEAs. You will lead the development and execution of preliminary process set-up studies and ensure that only materials meeting established specifications enter the supply chain. This role requires close collaboration with R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to document measurement updates, review prototype runs, and maintain rigorous quality standards in accordance with ISO9001 and other regulatory requirements.

- check_circleInitiate and complete nonconforming material hold tag processes within the Quality Management System
- check_circleSupport the Quality Management System through internal audits and corrective action processes
- check_circleRead and interpret engineering drawings to inspect product components and tooling
- check_circleDevelop documentation methods for presenting, reporting, and archiving measurement data
- check_circleAssist with investigative activities for customer returns and initiate corrective actions
- check_circleSupport statistical process control tasks and provide reports on process capabilities
- check_circleMonitor layout activities to ensure product conformity to requirements
- check_circleParticipate in site problem-solving projects and represent the Quality department at meetings
Requirements

- verified2 to 4 years of experience in Advanced Quality Planning/New Product Introduction
