Manufacturing Plant Technician

About the Role

Plant Technicians are vital to the success of P&G's business at the Iowa City Plant. Working behind the scenes, you will join a team responsible for keeping production flowing, meeting performance goals, and maintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our products.

This is an entry-level role designed for team players who know how to take charge of business-related challenges. You will gain new skills to help run and maintain the latest production technology and equipment for the world's biggest brands. From day one, you will own your work, impacting situations and influencing business-related problems.

A Day in the Life

Your work will be meaningful from the start, involving a variety of tasks including:

• Running high-speed converting and packing equipment.
• Controlling processes from a computer terminal.
• Performing preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Operating essential material handling equipment (e.g., clamp trucks, forklifts).

You will maintain world-renowned production technologies in interesting ways while working in a safe environment. The role offers opportunities to expand your expertise into electrical, quality assurance, safety, and hygiene areas as you demonstrate growing levels of operating, maintenance, and leadership skills.

Work Environment & Schedule

The Iowa City Beauty Care Plant operates 7 days a week. Technicians work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours per day, with rotations varying from single straight shifts to two or three rotating shifts. You must be willing to work any shift, including weekends, as changes in business volume may require overtime or schedule adjustments.

We rely on local talent for this position, and relocation is generally not paid. The role requires handling a fast-paced environment and working around high-speed equipment.
