Lockheed Martin's Mechanical Manufacturing Center (MMC) on the Waterton Campus in Littleton, Colorado, supports a diverse range of production areas including additive manufacturing, traditional machining, mechanism assembly, composite fabrication, and structural assembly. The Manufacturing Engineering team operates as a collaborative unit, working closely with technicians, quality assurance, test engineering, and planning teams to drive program success.
We are seeking a Level 2 Manufacturing Engineer to join this collaborative team and support one or multiple of our production areas. In this role, you will serve as a vital bridge between engineering design and shop floor execution. You will provide direct shop floor support, maintain manufacturing plans, and coordinate engineering change implementations to ensure smooth production flows.
Your day-to-day impact involves translating complex engineering drawings and parts lists into clear, easy-to-follow work instructions for the production floor. You will create procedures for the fabrication and rework of hardware, inspect defective components, and optimize production flow to meet critical program deliverables. By interfacing with shop floor personnel, you will implement process improvements to gain efficiencies and represent manufacturing interests in peer reviews of engineering drawings to enhance design for manufacturability.
This position requires navigating difficult situations and communicating effectively across all organizational levels to achieve productive outcomes. You will work within a multi-functional team to solve problems, utilizing your hands-on experience with manufacturing techniques to guide design concepts and specification requirements.

This role is an On-Site Full-time position performed at the designated Lockheed Martin facility in Littleton, Colorado. The schedule for this position is a 9x80 alternate work week, providing every other Friday off. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules to provide flexibility, ranging from standard 40-hour weeks to condensed schedules.
