Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to join a specialized team dedicated to creating process plans for military aircraft derivative and modification programs. The team operates within a collaborative environment, reporting to Butler project leadership and interacting primarily with peers, project leads, and checkers. Uniquely qualified individuals may find opportunities to expand into checking roles or small team leadership positions.
This 6-12 month remote contract role is designed for professionals who thrive in the aerospace sector, with a strong preference for those familiar with Boeing aircraft programs and tools. You will be responsible for planning work packages using MESci, specifically leveraging the BOM and CAPP modules. The position supports ongoing planning activities across multiple critical aircraft domains, including Structural, Payload/Interiors, Systems, Electrical, and Propulsion installations.
Your day-to-day work involves interpreting engineering data, such as 2D drawings and bills of material, to create and revise manufacturing process plans. You will utilize templates and guidance to ensure precision in areas ranging from primary structure installation and electrical routing to complex propulsion tasks like engine removal, disassembly, and reinstallation. Success in this role requires the ability to incorporate check comments and collaborate effectively within the team to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
