About the Team

At BDO, our purpose of helping people thrive every day is at the heart of everything we do. We are the first large accounting and advisory organization to implement an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), reflecting a culture that puts people first by sharing financially in our growth with our U.S. team. Our professionals provide assurance, tax, and advisory services for a diverse range of clients across the U.S. and in over 160 countries.

We are committed to delivering exceptional experiences to middle-market leaders by sharing insight-driven perspectives. Our culture is centered around making meaningful connections, approaching interactions with curiosity, and being true to yourself, all while making a positive difference in the world. We welcome diverse perspectives, empower team members to explore their full potential, and celebrate ingenuity to transform our business and help our clients navigate complex challenges.

About the Role

The CDBG Grants Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting disaster recovery programs across Central and West Florida. This position extends beyond standard grant administration to support new multifamily housing, rehabilitation projects, infrastructure improvements, public services, and public facilities initiatives.

You will serve as a key partner in project-level management and compliance oversight. Your day-to-day involves monitoring program activities, providing technical guidance to clients, and supporting program design to ensure funded activities meet CDBG-DR eligibility and align with approved action plans. You will act as a bridge between federal regulations and on-the-ground execution, advising clients on national objectives, duplication of benefits determinations, and tie-back documentation. In a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, you will collaborate with government staff, engineers, and consultants to resolve compliance issues in real time, preventing disallowed costs and ensuring audit readiness.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape program policies and procedures while working within a firm that values individuality and offers flexibility and opportunities for advancement.

Hiring Process

Candidates who are a strong fit for this role are encouraged to apply. Please note that the preferred candidate will reside in the Tampa Bay or Orlando area to effectively support the regional program needs.

Equal Opportunity Employer

BDO is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and veterans. We are committed to understanding the experience of our professionals and clients and fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
