About the Role

This position is responsible for managing and implementing a strategic, measurable internal communications program that supports and advances the Memorial Hermann strategies, mission, vision and values. The role serves internal audiences including employees, physicians, volunteers, and board members.

Note: This is a 2-year temporary position.

In this role, you will collaborate with Communications, corporate, and hospital leaders to develop and achieve plan objectives. You will set and maintain graphic and editorial standards, ensuring quality and consistency in writing and design. Your day-to-day will involve creating diverse internal communication deliverables, such as memos, talking points, video scripts, and presentations. Beyond content creation, you will foster teamwork and cooperation among the division's staff and other departments, while recruiting, hiring, training, and mentoring your team.

You will also play a key role in preparing the annual budget and monitoring expenses to ensure cost-effective operations. A core part of your mission is to ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies and standards. You will model the organization's service standards of providing safe, caring, personalized, and efficient experiences to both patients and the workforce, while promoting individual professional growth and development within the team.
