We are seeking a Manager – Development In vitro Metabolism to join our team in Madison, WI. In this leadership position, you will manage laboratory and support teams conducting metabolism studies, ensuring testing is completed by established deadlines while maintaining strict compliance with SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory agency guidelines.
You will balance your time between managing the Development In vitro Team and working directly within the lab (approximately 30–50% of your workload). This role requires you to consult with the Director on budgetary matters and departmental goals, while fostering a culture of quality and technical excellence. You will play a pivotal role in developing the skills of chemists and technical staff, ensuring high-quality data collection, and establishing technical and staff development goals.
As a leader within Pharmaceutical Chemistry management, you will interpret and implement policies affecting your group, effectively collaborate with North American and global counterparts to ensure process consistency, and represent your operational group on interdepartmental committees. The role involves managing client contacts, planning project activities, and solving complex problems that require creative thinking and causal analysis.
